Ever Want To Import Physical Products To The US?

Posted on | October 26, 2008 | No Comments

Howdy All!

Ever hear of people making tons of money importing products from China, Hong Kong, Philippines, etc?  Well one website that a lot of them use is a website called www.Alibaba.com. It’s a meeting ground for global traders. Very Cool!

Check it out!

Alibaba.com

Now the first question mainly would be, how could I trust that it’s not a scam?  What’s great about Alibaba is that these global importers have transaction ratings like Ebay.  Makes you much more confident when they have high ratings.

Now for contacting, they have an instant messenger called Trade Manager which will give you instant contact to the manufacturers in the other countries.  Very helpful when you are negotiating terms and what not.

Check it out.  Lots of cool products to import to sell!

How Do I Find Out How Many People Are Searching For My Product Or Service?

Posted on | October 20, 2008 | No Comments

Howdy All,

Today I had a question from someone.  They asked, “How do I find out how many people are searching for muscle building workouts?”

Well it’s pretty simple.  At least for Google it is.  Yahoo and Microsoft used to have a program called Overture which they discontinued when Microsoft spun off and created AdCenter.  Now neither of them have a good user friendly way of doing it.

Now back to Google.  Check out this link: Google Keyword Selector Tool

Make sure you bookmark it.  It’s something you should be using all the time when optimizing your text on your site, blog, forum, etc.

Btw, the average search volume for “Muscle Building Workouts” in Google is 5400 searches monthly.

Howdy All,

Sorry about the non posts for a bit.  I’ve been working pretty hard on launching a new internet site which I will tell you about in a couple week when it’s closer to completion.  But I was just working with the owner of www.ericjmoss.com where his computer just crashed.  Eric’s hard drive was no longer readable which makes you think, what if my computer crashed?

To prevent such a big loss, what I would recommend is buying a portable hard drive and setup a basic sync with your “My Documents” and keep all your files in there.  Don’t forget to backup your personal pictures, your business information, etc.

If you need any recommendations or need to find them cheap, email me and I’ll send you the info.

I Have A Lot of Products To Sell (Drop Shipping), How Would I Setup An eCommerce Website?

Posted on | October 5, 2008 | No Comments

Howdy All,

This question comes in from Melvin.  His store is going to be www.bluecartgames.com.  I have lots of products to sell. How would I setup an online store?

When it comes to selling multiple products (more than 20 items), the typical blog no longer cuts it.  It soon becomes a hastle if you want to put several products on sale, cross promote products, etc.

I have had a lot of experience with Yahoo Merchant Solutions.  Check out one of my Yahoo Merchant Solutions sites. http://www.herbaleze.com. There’s a bunch of reasons why I like them. Here are a few.

  1. Adding a new product is so simple.  It’s just a template where I just fill in the blanks.
  2. When I’m paying for advertising, I can’t afford it being down.  Yahoo is top notch in SLA’s.
  3. I’m guilty by association.  Yahoo is a reputable name and being a store with them means you are legit.  If you rate lower than a 3 star, they will close your account.  This helps everyone.
  4. All the websites are templated for easy customization and setup.  Even a cave man can do it!
  5. Easy integration with mailing lists.
  6. Can setup coupons and Gift Certificates.
  7. In depth statistics and trends for all products, customers, etc.
  8. Easy setup for credit card processing and PayPal.
  9. And much much much more.

Here is a coupon!   Yahoo! Small Business

Peace out!

I Need A Logo and Website Graphics. Where Do I Go?

Posted on | October 4, 2008 | No Comments

Howdy All!

If you are going to have an internet business, it’s quite important to have access to a designer.  The problem is, where do you find one?  I have the answer for you.

Here’s a website called www.99Designs.com.  What’s really cool about this website is that you can determine the price.  Here’s an example.  Let’s say that you want a logo to be created.

  1. You would create a contest and give a description to help the designer know what you want.
  2. Declare your budget.  For example if you set a low budget, less designers will want to win your contest.  If you set a high budget, you’ll have more to choose from.
  3. Designers will work with you on creatng it.
  4. Choose which one you want and you will get the original art work from them!

It’s that easy!

Now, I’m a person who likes to build relationships with people I work with.  I personally use a company called www.TrueBlueStudios.com. Chris who owns the company creates amazing high end designs for a good pricing.  He’s personalable, he’s US based, and he’s a master of branding.  Check him out!  He’s the best of the best!

Posted on | October 2, 2008 | 1 Comment

Howdy All!

So 2 days after I created the tutorial on installing WordPress on www.GoDaddy.com , they updated their website!  Boo hoo!  But there’s a plus!  Here is an easier way now with GoDaddy to setup your blog once you buy a Domain Name and Host it!

Here is the link for your convenience.  www.GoDaddy.com
Remember, this is used after you have the domain name and pay for hosting.

  1. When you log in, arrow over to Hosting -> My Hosting Account
  2. Click Manage Account on the website you want to install the blog.
  3. Then in the new window, arrow over Content -> Go Daddy Hosting Connection
  4. Then click on Blogs, and now you can install any of those blogs automatically! Word Press being one of them!
I hope this helps!

Video Editing - Adobe Premiere Elements

Posted on | October 1, 2008 | No Comments

Howdy All,

Tonight I just created our second marketing video for our company www.buyDVDrsellrights.com

Six Pack Abs Formula from Jesse Vince-Cruz on Vimeo.

I used Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 (Yes I know 4 is out) but it’s what I had available.  Don’t get me wrong, Premiere Elements does everything that I need for the basics, but what bothers me is that I cannot copy and paste from one project to the next.  That feature is still not available in 4 which drives me nuts.

I am thinking of either switching to Sony Vegas, Final Cut, or just using the full version of Adobe Premiere Pro.  We’ll see.

For any beginners, I would suggest if you have windows, use Windows Movie Maker to get a feel of what video editing is like and for mac users, iMovie rocks

As for this video, I used only one type of transition which was the zoom and everything else was basic fading in and out.  The music that I used I purchased the license for online marketing.  I sped up all 150 exercises at 7000% speed and that is my final creation.  Basic, simple, and to the point.

Thanks!
